Copper Small Necklace
Recycled circuit board was cut into a circle. The top colored layer, called solder mask, was carefully removed to reveal the bright copper traces underneath. The circuit board nestles under a layer of smooth resin, which forms a domed top coat.
The pendant is just under an inch (2.5cm) tall including the bail. An 18 inch (46 cm) antiqued copper cable necklace is included as shown.
Scientist-turned-artist Amanda Preske is on a mission to bridge the gap between science and art while encouraging responsible recycling. With her business, Circuit Breaker Labs, she transforms electronic waste into wearable art and gift products in her Washington, D.C. studio.
These boards were discarded and unwanted, but when paired with Amanda’s expertise and critical eye, they become beautiful futuristic worlds captured under resin.
Comes wrapped in tissue paper with a Circuit Breaker Labs tag.
