Reusable NOTpaper/ Unpaper Towels-Multiple Options!
Save trees with washable NOTpaper towels (aka Unpaper Towels) instead of single-use, disposable paper towels. Unlike other leading brands, our towels are handmade from unused, rescued fabric remnants so we're not generating more new fabric production.
They're 100% cotton flannel with cotton thread (unlike other brands that still use polyester), and are therefore fully biodegradable.
SIZE & DESIGN
Set size varies- see specific listing. Typically sold in sets of 12 but depends on how much fabric of each pattern, given that they are sourced from remnants and bold ends. They do not come pre-rolled, for ease of shipping. But you can upcycle an old cardboard roll at home: the towels will cling together when rolled without the need for snaps! Or, store them in a basket or crock for easy use.
Size is approx. 12" x 10," similar to regular paper towels.
Towels are 1 ply, single-sided, with rounded, serged edges to reduce fraying of seams.
HOW TO USE:
Machine wash cold or warm with like colors and tumble dry low. Skip dryer sheets for maximum absorbency.
To re-roll your towels after washing, lay them out flat and place them with the long sides slightly overlapping one another and then roll up on the tube.
Please note -->Towels are not pre-washed and will become more absorbent after a wash or two.
Machine wash, preferably in cold water (as that's also better for the environment!) Can be washed warm for messier situations. These are 100% cotton including the thread, so there's no need to put them in a laundry bag to catch plastic microfibers. Tumble dry but skip the dryer sheets, as they create a coating that make them less absorbent. But you CAN use zero waste wool dryer balls!
*Please note --> These are not pre-washed, so absorbency will increase after the first few washes.
End of Life
This product should last for a long time with proper care, but the fabric and thread are 100% cotton and compostable, just cut into smaller scraps. Or find a nearby textile recycling or Terracycle bin to recycle them.
I love these not-paper towels. Right after purchasing them, I came down with COVID and ended up using these are tissues because they were so soft on my nose. I also use them for dinner napkins. They did not get crusty like other hand towels I have used. I plan to buy in other patterns for each room of my house.
These work great and are so cute! I’ll probably get more next time I’m in the shop. Sarah is super nice and helpful!
